House of New Life

"...prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be released unto you."
--Paul in Philemon 22

"Want to live the new life in Christ Jesus? The House of NEW LIFE may be for you!"
There is a joy in attending church services, prayer, Bible study and work. These give men structure, discipline and camaraderie and are required to live here. They learn to support and help each other be victorious in life - like a family of brothers. Because the idle mind is the devil's workshop, we try to keep men busy.

It is a drug, alcohol and tobacco free home for men who want to live for God. If men are tired of addictions, this is a place one can feel safe, work, be appreciated and feel comfortable.
On the second floor there are two bedrooms with bunk beds and walk-in closets, a kitchen, a bathroom with tub and shower and a small living room with couch and matching chair. Men are responsible for their own food, toiletries, sheets etc. Furniture is provided.
There is a 320 lb. set of weights with bench.
Each man has access to the washer and dryer and work bench in the basement. Storage is limited to what is needed to live.
On the first floor are the living quarters for the Minister of the House of NEW LIFE. It has a large dining table over a full size pool table, a large living room as well as kitchen and one bedroom and bath. This level is used for Bible studies, special meals and times of fellowship.
The men who stay here will find friendly people. All must agree to, sign and live by a one page contract as well as fill out an application. We know through the Grace of God, a man will overcome what brings him down.
The house was purchased by St. Paul Apostolic in July of 2007. The House of NEW LIFE at 1119 Dayton Ave, St. Paul, MN 55104, was dedicated to help men recover.
The length of stay in this warm atmosphere depends on the individual and the decision of the Board of the House of NEW LIFE.

Board members:
Pastor Roger Barcus 651-735-2111
Counselor Jermaine Dupart 612-237-1980 (cell)
Minister of the House Joe Ellsworth 651-894-4692 (cell)
Advisor Gregory Barcus (see him at church)

There is no rent charge but those who live here pay $150 to $200 a month tuition depending on the amount of money one has or earns. We charge nothing at first if there is no income etc. This goes for materials, utilities and upkeep.
To receive an application, please fill out, hand in, mail or email info:
